As I'm just entering the sport of radio-controlled helicopters, Nick Papillon's book has been a very nice resource to have. He begins with choosing a helicopter and goes right through introductions to aerobatics, and covers a large amount in between. (Russell Diederich)

Syma S107 RTF RC Helicopter
Designed for indoor flight and so stable you can take off and land in the palm of your hand. Rated for kids of 14 and up but I have seen kids at 5 an 6 fly this helicopter better than me and I have RC experience.
Long gone are the days of RC helicopter flying being just too difficult. The flight characteristics with the built in gyros keeps so stable you will not believe how easy it is to fly.
The construction of this RC helicopter is extremely durable employing heavy duty plastics and tough metal. You will find that even after many crashes into the wall and falling to the floor you will find still no damage. But should there be damage to a balance bar of one of the rotors replacement parts are available on Amazon.
The manufacture of the Syma S107 has done an exceptional job of bringing exceptional technology to you and your kids at very low affordable prices. Many are thinking RC helicopter cost runs into $150 to $250 and more to get anything that will fly. Gone are the old fears that the crash is going to burn a hole in your pocket.
You will not want to forget your upgrades! Syma S107 / S107G upgrade the 3.7V Lithium Polymer Battery. Here you will find two larger batteries to extend your flying time. The standard battery is 150 ma and the upgrades are 200 ma an even larger option the 240 ma battery pack. Follow the instructions to install them. It will take a little adjusting to get the larger batteries to fit and to balance the helicopter but the 6 to 10 more minutes of flight time is well worth the effort.
There is also a spare parts package for the rare case that a crash breaks something. I have crashed mine a hundred times in walls ceilings and just about everything else and have not even broken one of the blades yet. But don’t assume mishaps don’t happen from time to time.
Don't Forget Spare Parts, Color changes and Longer Lasting Batteries!
Don’t forget to order a second one for yourself because if you are buying the Syma S107 as a gift and you see it fly and how easy it is. You will be wanting a Syma S107 RTF helicopter for your own. Remember Amason consistently has the lowest price as compared to eBay. See the Syma S107 Helicopter Review and eBay prices.
